The white-throated kingfisher (Halcyon smyrnensis) otherwise called the white-breasted kingfisher or Smyrna kingfisher, is a tree kingfisher, broadly circulated in Asia from Turkey east through the Indian subcontinent to the Philippines. It can frequently be discovered well far from water where it nourishes on an extensive variety of prey that incorporates little reptiles, creatures of land and water, crabs, little rodents and even winged animals. Amid the rearing season they call noisily in the mornings from unmistakable roosts including the highest points of structures in urban ranges or on wires.
